ACTS' Southampton Estates Collects Over 700 lbs of Essential Goods for Local Charities
Nearly 15,000 seniors and employees from 23 ACTS Retirement-Life Communities recently came together in the spirit of loving-kindness to help neighbors in need by donating 19 tons of food and clothing to 20 different outreach sites in eight states: Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina and South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Florida.
During this annual drive, the ACTS family graciously gives food, money or clothing as part of the company’s continual commitment to serving others. In total, 39,419 lbs. of personal essentials was collected to help meet the needs of those who have fallen on hard times.
Locally, Southampton Estates was among the communities to participate, contributing 700 pounds of food and donated items to benefit the Bucks County Opportunity Council in Doylestown, PA and St. Francis Church of Kensington in Philadelphia, PA.
