5 Things You Need to Know: Sept. 16

Tidbits of information to welcome the weekend

1. Centennial School District: Today, come celebrate the Grand Opening of William Tennent High School from 3:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Enjoy a dedication ceremony, food and fitness activities. RSVP here.

2. Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish: Don’t forget—today is the 20th Annual Golf Outing, which will take place at the Northampton Valley County Club on Newtown-Richboro Road in Richboro. Registration and lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. Go to page seven of the Parish bulletin for more information.

3. Billboard No. 1: Today in 1962, The Four Seasons’ “Sherry” topped the charts. Why don't you... listen to this hit twice? It's fun.

4. Planning a party? The Sports Zone, located at 1065 Industrial Blvd., is the first place to check! Maintaining a family-oriented environment, this venue is perfect for birthdays and team parties. Call 215-942-2212 for more information.

5. Upper Southampton Parks and Recreation: Register for session I of Irish Dance Class for lads and lasses ages five through 15. This program, which runs from Sept. 19 (this upcoming Monday) to Oct. 24, is a great opportunity for beginners to jump right in and for re-visitors to brush up on their skills. Go to page three of the USPR Fall 2011 newsletter for all registration details.
