Centennial Kicks Off Fine Arts Festival with Ensemble Night
The week long celebration highlights the creative talents of artists and musicians throughout the district.
After spending last year split between the middle schools, the annual Fine Arts Festival returns to William Tennent High School.
"We're back to full capacity," said Joe Lovecchio, Tennent's music director, during a rehearsal session last week. "Last year was tough, but the new facilities are wonderful."
The festival's homecoming starts tonight with Ensemble Night and will include a rare sight for Lovecchio, a clarinet duet with seniors Alex Ricci and Tom Cunningham.
"This is very unusual for me," he said. "I don't feature musicians very often, but they are really fine players."
The rest of the week includes the following:
- Tuesday, 7:30 p.m., Jazz Night at Log College Middle School
- Wednesday, 7:30 p.m., Chorus Night at William Tennent
- Thursday, 7:30 p.m., Band Night at William Tennent
- Friday, 7:30 p.m., Showcase Night at William Tennent
All events are free and open to the public.
