Workers from Snider & Associates, Inc. were busy Thursday morning, installing space-themed playground equipment at the top of the hill at Davis Elementary School.

The equipment, manufactured by BCI Burke Company, will offer various play features when complete, including three slides, with two that were described as "really high," and a row of swings.

Following the installation of the play features, the crew will also install a carpet to preventing moisture build up and then line the lot with mulch.

Snider representative Steve Baker said he anticipated the installation would be complete by Friday.

The school board approved the purchase and installation of the playground at its August 21 meeting, at cost of approximately $74,000 to the district.
