Where can I buy a generator anywhere in this area?

Ellen, I went to Home Depot in Fairless Hills today and an employee told me they sold out of generators in the first hour they were open Thursday morning. So after 7 a.m. Thursday they were no longer in stock. I imagine most Bucks County area hardware/home improvement stores are in the same position. Maybe smaller mom and pop hardware shops may still have one available?

Ellen, I don't know where you are, but your first resource would be to call the hardware and home stores - any independent stores you might have in your town, or places like Lowe's or Home Depot. But at this point, it's probably too late. Many are sold out.

Best bet is if you have a TV in room you are sleeping in to leave it on to local station and if you have Direct TV, not sure about other sat. or cable stations, they offer on The Weather Channel, local weather warnings for severe weather. Stay safe

That's a very good point Jdjdulle! Maybe also keeping a portable radio on low volume next to you or perhaps even an alarm clock on the radio setting (if applicable) while you sleep? Often times a strong tone will precede emergency announcements on the radio/TV.

Tornados can destroy homes. It happened in Limerick in 1994. If there is a warning for your area go to the basement or a room on the first floor with no windows.

Tabi and Diane please check out the latest tornado story I've posted for more specific info: http://patch.com/A-l3Zr The NWS said the watch will expire at 5 am. The best bet is to stay indoors and follow the tips NWS offers.

Check out my photos of the Old Mill added to this article-- it was very badly damaged by the flooding of the creek sometime overnight. What will the future hold for our oldest building in Hatboro?
