New Jersey Beaches Open for Business, Better Than Ever
The annual "state of the shore" rated the New Jersey water quality and beach conditions better than ever.
New Jersey’s 10th Annual “State of the Shore” address, in which scientists and ocean experts rate the water quality and beach conditions of the New Jersey beaches, has come back better than ever and state tourism officials say the beaches are open for visitors.
In a report from NewsWorks, Kim Kosko, of the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium, said the unseasonably warm weather has had a great deal to do with the state of the beaches.
She said the water quality is excellent, the beaches are bigger and cleaner and “the environment and climate are overall better,” she told NewsWorks.
The New Jersey shore tourism is a $16 billion industry.
