Plan Your Southampton Days: July 2
The annual Southampton Days Country Fair kicks off this evening.
The Fourth of July celebration begins a few days early in Southampton with the 41st annual Southampton Days Country Fair.
The festivities are set to begin this evening at the Tamanend Park ballfield at 6 p.m.
Besides all of the regular carnival trappings, here's what you will find at tonight's fair:
- At 6:30 p.m. Puppets Pizzazz will perform on the Children's Stage.
- From 7 to 8:30 p.m., the Uptown String Band will perform at the Lion's Grove
- From 8:30 to 10 p.m. catch Zydeco-a-go-go on the Midway Stage. (Zydeco-a-go-go's perfomance is sponsored by the Friends of Tamanend Park.)
Admission to the fair is free. Special week-long amusement ride bands can be purchased for $40.
Parking for the fair is available for $2 per car at Klinger Middle School, with proceeds benefitting Southampton Girls Softball.
The fair will run from 6 until 11 p.m. every night through Saturday, July 7.
