Readers' Choice: Family-Friendly Restaurants Named Around the Region
Find out which restaurants are our readers' favorite spots to dine with the entire family.
We asked Patch users across the area to pick the best family-friendly restaurant this week. Here’s a look at some of the winners.
Warminster Patch users picked Tony’s Place. Almost 140 votes were cast and only six votes separated the top four finishers.
In Upper Southampton, only two votes put Applebee's in the top spot over Angelo's Italian Restaurant.
The vote was close in Lower Moreland, too, but Huntingdon Valley voters chose Ben and Irv's.
It was not-so-close in Lower Southampton as Suburban Diner ended up on top.
Folks in Bensalem displayed a hankering for ribs, easily vaulting Smoken Dudes Bar B Que to the top.
It was a landslide in Levittown, with almost half of the votes going to Garden of Eatin'. User Douglas Filler wrote, “The Garden of Eatin is a great place to eat, good food and friendly staff make every meal there enjoyable!”
Hatboro-Horsham voters left little doubt, with 42 percent choosing Lochel's Family Restaurant.
The choice was clear in Northampton Township, too, where Patch users picked Jake's Eastery. The vote was closer in Newtown, but the result was the same with Jake’s new Newtown location coming out on top.
It could not have been any closer in Doylestown—Poco’s and Applebee's wound up with the same number of votes. Reader comments and reviews on the site are used to break a tie and Poco’s ended up winning. "I love Poco's.....definitely family-friendly," wrote one reader. "Great kid's menu and they even get free sunglasses! And fun for the parents, too."
