Ryan a Strong VP Choice, Say Pa. Republicans
Red Keystone Snap Poll shows strong support for Ryan among Pennsylvania Republicans.
A snap Red Keystone survey of GOP activists in Pennsylvania by Patch shows strong support for U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan as Mitt Romney’s choice for running mate.
Ryan as vice presidential nominee will help galvanize Republican voters in the Keystone State, according to more than two thirds of respondents.
More than half also say Ryan will help the GOP ticket win undecided voters.
Respondents aren’t concerned that Democrats can win by running against Ryan's existing budget plans and particularly his proposal for Medicare.
Several respondents noted that Ryan will help the GOP win young voters. But one Republican commented, “I don't believe that a VP pick ultimately changes elections. Perhaps the last time it did was in 1960.”
Here are other comments on Ryan from Pennsylvania Republicans who replied to an automated survey sent by Patch on Saturday:
- He is a man with a substantive fiscal plan, the best hope for a truly honest discussion of our fiscal problems. Unlike almost all other politicians, he calls a spade a spade.
- His 14 years in Congress gives insight, strength and balance to Romney's experience as a governor.
- It takes the focus of the race to the economy which will help Romney
- It sends a clear message that a President Romney will be serious about tackling the deficit.
- This may galvanize the ‘Audit the Fed’ crowd, but unless they come forward with real fiscal arguments that reasonable voters can accept, and convince people the deficit must be solved, they will not be able to get much traction in Pennsylvania.
- Rep. Ryan brings a clear vision to a campaign that, so far, had been severely lacking in detail.
- Returns discussion to fiscal policy, not tax returns.
- He is a fiscal conservative. He has the fullest understanding of any possible candidate of the breadth and scope of the fiscal disaster and the resulting crash in our economy and the crushing of our individual liberty and freedom.
Our surveys are not a scientific random sample of any larger population but rather an effort to listen to a swath of influential local political activists, party leaders and elected officials in Pennsylvania.
All of these individuals have agreed to participate in the surveys, although not all responded to Saturday's questions about U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan.
Patch will be conducting Red Keystone and Blue Keystone surveys throughout 2012 in hopes of determining the true sentiment of conservatives and liberals on the ground in Pennsylvania.
If you are an activist, party leader or elected official and would like to take part in occasional surveys that lasts just a few minutes, please email susan.koomar@patch.com

Anyone with common sense would realize that the PA Republicans would say whatever is necessary to assure a Romney/Ryan win. Remember they're even try to fix the vote with the Voter ID bill. So what did you expect????

This is an issue:
Please don't let Obama sweep Benghazi under the rug...
Lets not forget those four who were left to be slaughtered in Benghazi...

Mitt Romney did NOT choose Paul Ryan as a running mate, Paul Singer demanded that Paul Ryan be designated as VP.
Paul Singer is the CEO of a hedge fund named Elliott Management and a very close friend of Mitt Romney. "According to The Wall Street Journal Singer has given more to support GOP candidates—$2.3 million—than anyone else on Wall Street this election season." Paul Singer has been called “vulture investor”.
"Singer is influential with the GOP presidential candidate; he’s not only an informal adviser but, according to the Journal, his support was critical in helping push Representative Paul Ryan onto the ticket."

I saw Obama yesterday claiming the new job numbers are proof that his policies are working and that we are in an economic recovery... Fact is, that is not the truth, or even close to the truth...
First, the unemployment rate ticked up to 7.9% and the year-to-date monthly average of 157,000 payroll jobs is barely enough to keep up with population growth -- much less make up for the 8 million jobs lost during the Great Recession.
Second, the so-called real unemployment rate (U6) remains elevated at 14.6%, albeit down from 14.7% the prior month. Similarly, the labor participation rate is at 63.8%, up from its multi-decade low but still incredibly weak.
Third, average hourly earnings fell a penny in October and average hours worked fell to 34.4 from 34.5 in September.
Stagnant wages means "we're not generating income," Reinhart says. "That's a problem in terms of the durability of an economic expansion, which is usually fueled by consumption. To get consumption you've got to generate income."
Also, just look at your checkbook. We are paying a lot more for everything now than we did in 2008. The price of gas has doubled. At the same time, wages have gone down, and that's if you're lucky to have a job.
In 2008, 25 banks went out of business. In 2012, 48 banks have gone out of business. Almost double the amount. Does that sound like recovery to you? Don't believe the Obama lies!!

On November the 5th at 9pm Jack Anderson and the other Third Party presidential candidates will be involved in a debate on TV. This will be the second such debate by the Third Party candidates. The first debate involved many interesting questions that were avoided by the Obama/Romney debate.
Here's the web link to the first Third Party Debate:

I would like to suggest that you watch the second debate if possible.
