Southampton Teen to Compete for Miss Jr. Teen Philadelphia Title
The winner of the Miss Jr. Teen Philadelphia pageant be awarded thousands of dollars in prizes as well as the chance to compete at a national competition in Orlando, Fla.
Kaelah Kennedy has been selected to participate in the 2013 Miss Jr. Teen Philadelphia pageant competition.
Kaelah submitted an application and was interviewed by coordinators before learning that she was selected for the pageant, which will take place on Sunday, Nov. 25.
Kaelah will compete in the pageant's Miss Jr. Teen division, one of four divisions that will have young ladies ages 7 to 19 competing in casual wear and formal wear modeling routines.
Most important, Kaelah will display her personality and interviewing skills while interviewing with this year's Philadelphia judging panel. Personality is the number one aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of competition.
Kaelah will be competing, for her share of thousands of dollars in prizes and specialty gifts, as well as the title of Miss Jr. Teen Philadelphia.
The pageant winner will represent Philadelphia and the surrounding communities at the National Competition that will take place in Orlando, Florida.
Over $30,000.00 in prizes and awards will be presented at the National Competition while each winner enjoys this expense paid trip of five nights and six days in Orlando, Florida.
Community businesses, organizations, and private individuals will assist Kaelah in participating in this year's competition by becoming an official sponsor to her.
She has already obtained sponsorship from the following local businesses: Steam Pub, Shar-Nee Hair Designs, Mealey’s Furniture, John A. Saracino Inusrance Agency, Acme, Iris Cleaners, B&E Jewelers, and Longhitanos.
Through sponsorship, each contestant receives all the necessary training, rehearsals, and financial support which will allow Kaelah to become a very confident and well-prepared contestant in this year's Philadelphia Pageant.
