Steam Pub Opening Just Weeks Away

Take a look at the progress at Steam, a new gastro pub that will be opening in the former Salon Rage location at Second Street Pike and Knowles Avenue.

The drywall is up and painters will soon begin to coat the interior of Steam. After the paint is dry, flooring will be installed in the train car shaped building. Finally, the bar, featuring over 20 types of beer on-tap, will be installed. When finished, Steam's bar will seat 42 people with more seating available on an outdoor deck, which is under construction. More than 100 seats will available for diners who want to choose items off the pub's dozens of menu choices, co-owner and executive chef Mike Breslin said.

Right now, this may not look like much, but, in a few weeks time, this area will house a stage for DJs and musical acts to perform on. The owners promise entertainment "every night" at Steam.
