A eyeglass collection box, just like the one pictured here, was stolen from Second Street Pike sometime between Wednesday and Saturday of last week. The Southampton Lions Club is asking anyone with information to contact the Upper Southampton Police Department.

The yellow mailbox located on Second Street Pike near Taco Bell and across the street from JoAnn Fabric was stolen sometime between Wednesday, Nov. 14 and Saturday, Nov. 17.

Hundreds of pairs of eyeglasses have been deposited in that box by local residents to “Help the Lions Help the Blind," and now that box is gone.

Please help the Lions Club to get it back.

If you saw someone removing the box, or if you see the bright yellow mailbox in the back of a truck, on the side of the road, at a junk yard or anywhere, please call the Upper Southampton Police Department at their non emergency/voice mail number 215-364-5000.

They will most likely sell the glasses at a flea market. They should be arrested if they can be found
