'Millionaire' Holding Auditions in Philly
Want to win a cool million? Audition to be a contestant on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" next week in Philadelphia.
Do you want a chance to win a cool million? Who doesn’t? Area residents will have their shot very soon.
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? with Meredith Viera is a 30-minute trivia show that airs each weekday on ABC. Guests are quizzed with randomly selected questions. If they answer correctly, they win a randomly selected amount of money.
As watchers know, guests are also given some “help” through resources like “Ask the Audience” or “Jump the Question.” Contestants work their way up the ladder in order to get to the big money, and try to win exactly what the name implies: a million dollars.
The show is hosting a regional tryout at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Thursday, Oct. 11 from 1 to 7 p.m. The convention center is located at 1101 Arch St., in Philadelphia.
During the auditions, guests will be asked to take a written test first. If you pass the written test, a personal interview is conducted with a representative of the show. If you pass that interview, you are placed in a Contestant Pool and are available for selection on future shows.
While pre-regestration is not necessary, audition space will be limited.
Those that tryout to be a contestant must be age 18 or over, a United States resident and meet all eligibility requirements. Contestants trying out must not have ever been in the “hot seat” in the past. Complete and official rules can be viewed at this link.
If you’d prefer to just watch, you can register for free tickets to watch. The show is taped at ABC Studios, 320 W. 66th St., New York, NY. You can all 212-456-1494 or visit this link to purchase tickets.
