Applebee's Hosts Pancake Eating Contest
The contest raised funds to support Alex's Lemonade Stand and National Heart Foundation.
Thes on Street Road hosted a pancake-eating contest Saturday morning to raise funds for Alex’s Lemonade Stand and the National Heart Foundation.
About three-dozen locals came out to get breakfast and watch others participate in the contest.
By the time the contest was over more than $1,400 was raised for the two charities, according to Tara Gates, one of the restaurant's managers.

Contestants had to raise at-least $100 to compete in the pancake-eating contest and spectators paid $6 to watch.
