Builders to Meet with Residents Regarding Stackpole Development

County Builders will hold a meeting detailing the revised plans Wednesday evening.

County Builders recently presented revised plans for the development of the former Stackpole Elementary School site to township officials.

This redesign, according to township officials, came out of a June 10 presentation to township supervisors where several residents voiced concerns with the planned development.

Township Manager Joe Golden said among the changes in the new plans the number of dwellings was increased from 26 to 28 and instead of a cul-de-sac the road will now go through to intersect with Mill Creek Road.

Representatives from County Builders will discuss the new plans at an informal meeting in the parking lot of the former elementary school Wednesday evening.

Last week, homeowners with property surrounding the proposed development were presented with letters announcing the meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The letter reads:

As a follow up to our sketch plan presentation for Stackpole that took place on June 10, 2013, County Builders will be holding an informal meeting with the adjacent property owners on Wednesday August 28, 2013 at 6 pm.

The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss any stormwater related issues that the neighbors are experiencing and review the conceptual design for the proposed development.

The meeting will be held at the Stackpole Elementary School parking lot. We look forward to meeting with you if you are interested.
