Clouds and Rain to Linger Through Midweek in Southampton, Says NWS

The National Weather Service says thunderstorms and cloudy skies will be on tap until Wednesday.

The National Weather Service says the gray skies aren't going to clear up in Southampton until Wednesday.

Here's a look at the detailed forecast for this week in Southampton, courtesy of the NWS:

  • Monday Afternoon: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Light west wind. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  • Monday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Tuesday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Tuesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. West wind around 7 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
