Photos Needed for Global War on Terror Memorial

Members of the Doylestown VFW are asking for soldiers from Bucks County who served in Iraq or Afghanistan to submit photos from their tours. They will be incorporated into the planned memorial.

Work is about to get started on the planned Global War on Terror Memorial at the courtyard of the Bucks County Courthouse, but the project won't be complete without the help of armed service members throughout the county.

The Doylestown VFW Post 175, which has spearheaded the effort to create a permament memorial, is asking military members who served in Iraq and Afghanistan to submit photos of their experiences overseas. Selected pictures will become part of the memorial and help tell the story of the war.

Scanned or digital photographs that feature at least one Bucks County soldier serving in Iraq or Afghanistan can be submitted to buckscountygwotmemorial@mail.com. Color photos at least with a resolution of at least 1 MB are preferred but not required. There is a limit of 10 pictures per person.
