Weekend Planner for Apr. 13-15

Use our guide to some area events to help you get out and enjoy the weekend.

It’s the last weekend before your federal taxes are due. Get out and make the most of it.

 

Where/when: 100 N 5th St, Perkasie, Sunday starting at 7:30 a.m.

Why go: The menu has tasty options like Eggs, Pancakes, Waffles, Cream Dried Beef, Sausage, Bacon, Scrapple, Home Fries and assorted juices, plus there will be a 50/50 raffle. Plus, it’s a fundraiser for the Perkasie Volunteer Fire Company.

Cost: $7, kids 4-12 are $3.50 and under 3 = free

Where/when: 1961 Summit Ave, Feasterville, Friday at 7 p.m.

Why go: Learn how you can participate in the Oakford Paranormal Society’s beginner classes, intermediate workshops and investigations. 

Cost: Free

 

Where/when: , 1350 Strathmann Dr, Southampton, Friday at 7 p.m.

Why go: Fourth and fifth grade students will be performing in this year’s Talent Show.  Donations will be collected for the Pennsylvania SPCA.  Come out and enjoy performances from some very talented children for a great cause!

Cost: Free (but consider a donation for the Pa. SPCA!)

 

Where/when: Phoenix Sports Club, 301 E Bristol Rd, Feasterville Trevose, Saturday at 8 p.m.

Why go: Tickets include food, beer, wine, sides, dessert and a DJ, plus gift Basket Raffles, 50/50, and door prizes. All alumni, band parents, past band parents, family & friends over the age of 21 are invited to this popular event.  All proceeds go directly to help support the William Tennent Marching Panther Band.

Cost: $25

 

Where/when: , Blair Mill Road and County Line Road, Hatboro, Saturday starting at 3 p.m.

Why go: Hatboro Little Leaguer Bobby Taggart, 14, has been diagnosed with bone cancer and local hairdressers will be on the complex doing buzz cuts and braiding hair for donations that will go directly to the family.

Where/when: , 899 Horsham Rd, Horsham, Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Why go: If you loved the movie, you’ll love the play.

Cost: $14

 

Where/when: Mitchell Performing Arts Center, 800 Tomlinson Road, Bryn Athyn, Friday at 8 p.m.

Why go: The concert will feature the NewChurch LIVE and Four Plus bands performing classic rock, folk and pop music to benefit The Breathing Room Foundation, which supports families affected by cancer.

Cost: $15

 

Where/when: Neshaminy High School, 2001 Old Lincoln Hwy, Langhorne, Friday at 7 p.m.

Why go: This year’s one-acts include Phobe’s Phobia, directed by junior Caroline Crasnick, and Comedy Tonight, directed by senior Kyle Duke.

Cost: $5

 

Where/when: , 320 Camer Dr, Bensalem, Sunday starting at 9 a.m.

Why go:  Enjoy displays of toy trains and hot rods. All proceeds from this event, which is sponsored by Toy Trains in Motion, will benefit the Ronald McDonald House and the Smile Train.

Cost: $3

 

Where/when: Falls Township Senior Center, 282 Trenton Rd, Fairless Hills, Sunday, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Why go: Join the Falls Township Teen Advisory Panel and Pennsbury's LYFT Program for a pasta dinner. Spaghetti, meatballs, salad and desserts will be served, as well as vegetarian options. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to a charity.

Cost: $5

 

Where/when: , 25 Upper Holland Rd, Richboro, Saturday at 2 p.m.

Why go: The incomparable Fred Miller in his new Lecture in Song "Rogers & Hart” -  learn about their lives, their work and their songs as only talented Fred Miller can present.  Please call the Northampton Library Reference Desk to register at 215-357-3050

Cost: Free

 

Where/when: , 50 Walnut Ave, Newtown, Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Why go: It’s a dance party that's open to the public. Donations welcome and all money goes to benefit the American Cancer Society.
