YWCA Bucks County Campers To Strut Their Stuff

Five YWCA summer camps will cap the summer with fun-filled talent shows the first week of August.

Five YWCA summer camps will cap the summer of educational enrichment and life skills learning activities with fun-filled talent shows the first week of August.

Campers will strut their stuff to an audience of family members, friends, area dignitaries, the general public and YWCA staff.

YWCA Bucks County summer camps offer at-risk, underserved children a safe environment where they can have fun, learn life skills, and interact positively with other children and adults, according to a news release.

During camp, students engage in activities that foster academic enrichment, team-building skills, multicultural awareness, sportsmanship and healthy attitudes through a combination of indoor and outdoor activities, interactive games, trips and crafts, the release said.

The camps are developed around theme weeks, integrating curricula from the various trip locations and guest speakers who represent organizations dedicated to developing life skills in young people including professionals from area businesses who discuss future career options and the educational paths necessary to pursue them.
