Revolutionary War Movie Screening Tonight

The writers and producers of an award-winning documentary about the Battle of Crooked Billet will be at the library in Upper Southampton tonight.

The locally produced Revolutionary War documentary "The Battle of Crooked Billet" will be screened tonight at the Southampton Free Library, followed by a discussion with the film's writers and producers.

The movie won two 2010 Telly Awards - Excellence in a Historical/Biography and Excellence in Videography/Cinematography.

Based on the writings of General William W. H. Davis, Charles Harper Smith and Denis J. Cooke, the movie tells the story of a British attack on The Billet (Hatboro) led by General John Lacey, which became known as the "The Battle of Crooked Billet." Click here to read more about the story.
