One-Day Franchising Event Set for May 2

Just down the road in Wilmington, the event will cover all aspects of franchising and attendees will receive complimentary passes to the three-day international expo held in New York in June.

A one-day event in Wilmington is set to cover all aspects of owning a franchise.

On May 2, the Delaware Small Business and Technology Development Center, the Small Business Administration, the International Franchise Association, and the Delaware Economic Development Offices will present “Opportunities in Franchising: How to be in Business for Yourself, But Not by Yourself.”

The event will provide inside knowledge on the nuts and bolts of owning a successful franchise and include a number of informational sessions designed to cover vital topics such as: the fundamentals of franchising, advantages and disadvantages, and how to evaluate franchise options; the legal aspects of franchising, how to protect yourself, and what you need to know before you sign on the dotted line.

Also featured will be a Panel of Pros, who will share first-hand experiences of franchise owners. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet and network with franchisors, bankers, business assistance providers, and other resources to help evaluate options and opportunities in franchise ownership. 

The event will be held at the Chase Center on the Riverfront, 815 Justison Street in Wilmington, Delaware from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Registration is $25 per person before April 20. If space is available after that date the cost will be $35 per person. Cost includes a continental breakfast and lunch.

All paid registered attendees will also receive a complimentary pass to the International Franchise Expo (IFE) taking place in New York City – June 15 -17.
