5 Things: April 15

Tidbits of information to get you through your day (and your weekend).

1. Centennial School District News: CSD and Keystone Collections Group are holding two sessions to explain mandatory local tax withholding on May 19 at the CSD Administrative Office located at 433 Centennial Road in Warminster. Please register by e-mailing register@keystonecollects.com today as space is limited.

2. USPR: The Lions Club will be sponsoring a holiday egg hunt and puppet show at 11:15 a.m. tomorrow for children ages three to eight. Call 215-355-9781 for location details.

3. Billboard Number One: Today in 1978, the Bee Gees' "Night Fever" topped the chart. Premiering in the 1977 film "Saturday Night Fever" (as I once discussed in an edition of 5 Things a few months back), this song, along with "Stayin' alive" and "How Deep is your love," were found on the soundtrack that was number one for 24 weeks in a row. For the official video, click here. (I would have included the actual movie clip, but this movie is rated "R").

4. Southampton Railroad Station Society invites volunteers to help benefit the Armed Forces Day train show. Please call Charlie Liberto at (215) 757-7308 if you are interested.

5. Today is Global Youth Service Day. The toolkit will explain how you can get involved. Perhaps would be a good day to also consider the organizations available to join and learn more about by viewing the itemized list here (even for adults).
