Tidbits of information to get you through your Monday.

1. Centennial School District: The Centennial School Board Finance and Long Range Budget Planning Committee will have a meeting, held at the administrative building at 433 Centennial Road, tonight at 7 p.m. to discuss the fiscal plan and budget for 2011-2012. This meeting is open to the public. Review the bulletin for this meeting for an itemized list of topics of discussion.

2. Upper Southampton Parks and Recreation: “Music for Mommy and Me,”  a series of sessions encouraging children (ages 18 months to three years) and their caregivers, will begin today at 11:30 a.m. Sessions will run each consecutive Monday up until and including June 6—for the exception of May 30.  Go to page two of the USPR newsletter for more information on registration.

3. Billboard Number One: Today in 1964, The Beatles’ “Can’t buy me love” topped the charts. Click here for a performance of this song . (Hope you can enjoy it while listening to the screaming fans!)

4.  Today is National DNA Day! Possibly it is has been a while since you have taken a biology class (or possibly not, and you are itching to talk about it)! Click here to learn about this wonderful scientific discovery.

5. Green tip for the bride and groom-to-be: Save-the-date’s and invitations can require actual more paper and handiwork than necessary. The Sierra Club suggests to send postcards and/or create online invitations to increase our eco-friendly efforts. Make your special day a magical and green one! (And, you can save some money, too!)
