5 Things to Know for June 21

Tidbits of information to help start your summer off right.

1. Centennial School District: The Education Committee will be meeting tonight at 7 p.m. Items of discussion include the math curriculae for grades three through five. Click here for tonight’s meeting agenda.   

2. USPR: Chess Wizards Camp will take place from June 27 to July 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please click page three of the USPR Summer 2011 for more details.

3. Billboard Number One: Today in 1966, The Beatles’ “Paperback writer” topped the charts. I found this song to be somewhat apropos to the information discussed in tidbit number four.

4. Today may very well be the first day of summer, meaning no books for the time being, but it is also the National Summer Learning Day  sponsored by the National Summer Learning Association. Perhaps you can get a head start on your summer reading at the !
