Tidbits of information to get you closer to clocking out for the weekend.

1. Centennial School District: Students and families of Willow Dale Elementary School, enjoy the Back to School Picnic tonight which will be held near the playground area from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Click here for all details.

2. : The sacrament of penance and reconciliation will be taking place tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Page two of the parish bulletin provides more items and information to add to your calendar.

4. The Sierra Club encourages individuals to deep-six bleach for stain removal purposes, and instead suggests Stain-removal-101.com’s tip of simply using a combination of lemon juice and salt, a natural way, to create your do-it-yourself product. Try it out this weekend; I most certainly will!

5. Halloween isn’t too far away! Active Acres Farm, located at 881 Highland Road in Newtown, is inviting individuals to come to its Saturday pumpkin patch activities from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. In the evening, participants can get goosebumps during the haunted attractions like the sleepy hollow hayride in the evenings. Be the first of the season!
