5 Things You Need to Know: Sept. 6

Tidbits of information to help your week progress smoothly.

1. Centennial School District: Professional Development Day starts this morning at 8:30 a.m. at each of the individual schools within the district. The event will end at 3:30 p.m.

2. : Back to School Night for grades one through three will take place in the auditorium at 7 p.m. (Don’t forget a writing utensil!)

3. Billboard No. 1: Today in 1989, The New Kids on The Block’s “Hangin’ Tough” topped the charts. If you are the new kid in school this year, I am personally dedicating this this 22-year-old hit to you. 

4.  Upper Southampton Parks and Recreation:  Sign up for session one of  Parent/Child (ages six months to three years) swim classes at the B & R Family Fitness Club located at 1040 Mill Creek Drive in Feasterville. Classes start Sept. 11 and will end Nov. 6. Go to page three of the USPR Fall 2011 newsletter for registration information.

5.  Bucks County Community College: Drop/add periods are posted for your convenience. Be sure to keep this calendar as an easy reference for the semester.
