5 Things You Need to Know: Sept. 9

Tidbits of information to start your weekend of rest and reflection.

1. Centennial School District: Willow Dale and McDonald-Davis  students, wear red, white and blue to show your school spirit and your national pride!  

2. : An will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in honor of those who risked and lost their lives on the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. Click here for more information.

3. Although not the number one song of the day, Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” is very suitable for the time. It played quite frequently long after the Sept. 11 attacks 10 years ago. I was in my eighth grade social studies class when I learned the news. Where were you when you found out?

4.  Southampton Community Band will be holding a memorial concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at . All are invited.
