April 10: School Board Meets Tonight

More wind and maybe some rain in store.

Here are your Five Things for April 10, 2012.

  • The Centennial . The agenda includes a lot of dollar figures, including more than $200,000 in furniture for Davis Elementary School and more than $30,000 in change orders for construction projects.
  • Some dicey weather today. It's going to be windy - again - and there's a chance of showers in the afternoon. And if you're going out this evening, take a jacket as temperatures will drop into the 30s. Brrrrrrr!
  • Tune in to WHYY this morning for Radio Times, hosted by Marty Moss-Coane. She's got quite a diverse doubleheader on tap as in one hour she'll fete the Academy of Natural Sciences turning 200, then analyze the power of swing voters. Good ol' Marty, never predictable!
  • On this day, 1912, Titanic left port for the first - and last - time.
