1. Upper Southampton Township: The Planning Commission meeting will take place tonight at 7 p.m. and will be held in the meeting room in the .
2. : Read through the calendar for the new academic year. Be sure to note important dates regarding early closings and tuition deadlines.
3. Billboard No. 1: Today in 1983, Michael Sembello’s “Maniac" topped the charts. For those of you who are going back to school, gathering last-minute materials and supplies might make you relate to this song. (Or, it just might make you want to watch "Flashdance").

4. Centennial School District: All William Tennent High School students’ schedules have been posted to the Skyward Portal. Be sure to familiarize yourself with your first day’s classes in order to avoid scrambling in the halls! Also, be mindful of potential scheduling conflicts, which can be addressed here.
5. Upper Southampton Parks and Recreation: Sign up for session one of swim lessons at the B & R Family Fitness Club located at 1040 Mill Creek Drive in Feasterville. Session starts Sept. 12 and ends Nov. 6. Go to page three of the USPR Fall 2011 newsletter for registration information.
