NWS: Severe Thunderstorm Watch Until 9 p.m.

Southampton could be in for one-inch hail and gusty winds later today.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Philadelphia and all surrounding counties through 9 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the NWS, conditions are favorable for thunderstorms containing one-inch hail and the possibility of wind gusts of at least 58 mph.

Heavy rain and "dangerous" cloud-to-ground lightning are possible.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 76. Light west wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
