Pet of the Week: Bogo the Jack Russell Terrier

This week's featured pet is a lap-friendly dog.

This week's featured pet comes from the Women's Humane Society in Bensalem.

Bogo, is a bouncy Jack Russell Terrier who is in need of a home. While Bogo has a lot of energy and enjoys playing, he also loves to sit and snuggle, which is somewhat rare for the breed.

The 5-year-old dog would best fit with a family with older children. Bogo was surrendered to the shelter as a stray, and because of that, Adoptions Counselor Kelly VanValkenburgh said they wouldn't risk putting him in a home with children younger than 11.

Bogo is considered to be a "senior" since he's over the age of 5, but VanValkenburgh said that because of his size, he could live for 10 more years.

If you're interested in Bogo, or want to learn about other animals the shelter has for adoption, visit the website for adoption procedures, to download an application, call 215-750-3100 or stop by for more information.
