Reminder: Southampton Free Library Closes Saturday

The Southampton Library will be close for two weeks during renovations.

The Southampton Free Library closes Saturday at 5 p.m. and then will not open again until April 8.

, the first in 20 years, says library director Kim Ingram.

Half that money came from a Keystone Grant, the rest came the library’s capital improvements fund it’s been squirreling away for years.

“It’s a much needed facelift,” Ingram said. “ The design will be more sensible and more user friendly.”

Member can return books from the library to any other Bucks County library during renovations, but you can also return items when the library reopens April 8. The circulation desk revised the due dates so that nothing comes due during the March 25 to April 6 renovation dates.

After new carpeting, paint and more, the library will reopen April, just in time to celebrate National Library Week, which runs April 14-20.
