Patch.com has been getting a lot of press across the country – some good, some bad – and to tell you the truth, we're not surprised. We're trying to do something new. We're trying to change the way smaller communities get their local news.

Let's be honest – change is scary. Especially for traditional newspapers who've been slow to embrace the brave new world of the world wide web.
