Weather Service Cancels Severe Thunderstorm Warning

The National Weather Services says the storm front that was predicted to bring hail, high winds and lightening shifted its course and will not hit Southampton.

The National Weather Service has cancelled a severe thunderstorm warning for Southampton, PA. The Weather Service said the storm front has weakened and shifted to the northeast of our area.

Here is a look at the updated forcast:

This Afternoon: Showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. High near 73. Breezy, with a southwest wind between 17 and 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tonight: Showers likely, mainly before 8pm. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 51. West wind between 8 and 11 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Friday: A slight chance of showers after 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. West wind between 8 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 44. Northwest wind between 7 and 9 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 69. Northwest wind around 9 mph.
