Evening Ceremony Honors 9/11 Victims

An evening ceremony Tuesday honored the local victims of the 9/11 attacks.

"The world is a different place and we are a different people."

Those were the words spoken Tuesday evening by Rev. Doug Hoglund of Yardley's Woodside Presbyterian Church as he spoke to the crowds that gathered at the Garden of Reflection in Lower Makefield to mark the 11-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on America.

Philadelphia radio talk show host Michael Smerconish, who helped with fundraising for the memorial, said that memories of the victims fade, but the memorial will help people remember.

Motorcylist, uniformed public servants, volunteers and local youth organizations took part of the ceremony.

At the end of the evening, visitors lit candles to help honor the nearly 3,000 victims who died on Sept. 11, 2001.

Bucks County lost 18 residents to the attacks in 2001.

KYW-TV anchor Pat Ciarocchi and several local preachers also attended and spoke at the event.

It's good that people "remember." But we are not talking about the real issue -- radical Islam, that inspired these Muslim jihadist terrorists to commit these terrible acts. If you pay attention, it has never stopped. Smaller attacks, worldwide, up to yesterday's storming of the US Embassy in Cairo, Egypt. So much for the "Spring" there. It was a Muslim Brotherhood takeover. Let's start speaking the truth. We have an enemy who wants to defeat us at all costs (even to their own lives, as suicide murderers do) to impose a worldwide caliphate under sharia law. They state it so themselves. Let's start that conversation. Educate yourselves.

Jim, what do you mean by oh brother? How can you not believe that Mary is Spot On Correct in what she wrote!

Google Bill Warner (political Islam), Frank Gaffney, Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer. These brave people are on the front lines trying to expose the truth. Now we have a dead Ambassador and other Americans. When will it end? Judging by the 1,400 year history of Islam, never. Islam means submit. They offer youI lslam, and the chance to submit, pay the tax (jiyza) or die. Congressional Rep. Allen West speaks eloquently about this in a short youtube video. Find it. We are facing a very violent ideology that did not begin or end on 9/11. If we cannot name this, which has declared war on America and all free nations, how will we ever defend us ourselves?
