Burning Bush Fire Extends Into Factory
A shurb outside a James Way manufacturing facility caught fire and spread into the roof Tuesday afternoon.
A small fire at M & C Specialties on James Way was put out quickly Tuesday afternoon, only causing minor damage, fire officials said.
Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after the flames were reported at 1:16 p.m. They extingished the fire, which started in some shurbs and spread into the roof, said Southampton Fire Company Chief Glenn McKenney.
McKenney also said a few of the building's employees, armed with fire extigishers, had knocked out most of the flames by the time fire crews had arrived.

A witness, who works across the street, said she saw a small tree on fire outside the building and saw smoke coming from the corner of the roof.
Employees who work at M & C, a global company that provides fabricated die cut adhesive components and slit rolls, were spotted outside the building watching firefighters put out the blaze.

The Southampton Fire Company was assisted by firefighters from Warminster, Feasterville, Bryn Athyn, and Upper Moreland.
McKenney said the cause of the minor fire is still under investigation.
