Cyclist Struck By Car on Street Road

The 20-year-old cyclist suffered cuts and a broken leg, according to police.

Police said a woman was hit by a car while attempting to ride her bike across Street Road Monday afternoon.

A car traveling in the eastbound lanes of Street Road struck the 20-year-old New Jersey woman near the intersection of Marigold Avenue just before 2 p.m., according to police. 

Westbound traffic on Street Road was backed up for some time Monday afternoon as police investigated.

The woman was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital by members of the Tri Hampton Rescue Squad. Police said she was treated for some cuts and a broken leg.
