Injuries Reported in Christmas Eve Accident

Shortly after 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve, a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Street and Stump roads sent two people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The two vehicles smashed into each other and ended up on the grass in front of the Lakeside office complex.

Crews from the assisted with extricating the wounded, who were transported to the hospital by members of the Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad.

Street Road was closed in both direction for a period of time as crews worked to clear the accident.

Upper Southampton police were assisted by members of the Lower Southampton Police Department.
