Man Charged in Upper Southampton Hit-and-Run

The Newtown man also is charged in a Northampton hit-and-run that occurred the same day.

A Newtown man has been charged in connection with two Valentine's Day hit-and-run accidents, one in Upper Southampton and one in Northampton.

Scott Curley, 37, faces charges in connection with a Feb. 14 hit-and-run at Bridgetown Pike and Old Bristol Road in Northampton and a Feb. 14 hit-and-run at Willopenn Drive and Street Road in Upper Southampton, The Bucks County Courier Times reported.

Curley was stopped by police shortly after the second accident, the Courier Times said, and officers smelled alcohol on his breath, according to police.

Curley is charged with driving under the influence, two counts of accident involving damage to an attended vehicle and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock system, the Courier Times said.
