The man responsible for a Tuesday morning hit-and-run accident that killed at 71-year-old pedestrian turned himself in to authorities, police said.

Mario Rodriguez-Morales, 40, of the 2900 block of Knights Road, turned himself in to Bensalem Police after leaving the scene of a hit and run at Knights Road just north of Dunksferry Road that killed a pedestrian, according to police. Bensalem Police reported to the scene at 6:09 a.m.

Police identified the victim as Madanago Bakthavatchalu, a 71-year-old resident of the 2500 block of Knight Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Bensalem Police Department.

At 6 a.m., police said the striking vehicle—a light-colored pick-up truck—was traveling north on Knights Road at the intersection of Dunksferry Road, then fled the scene. Just have an open mind n heart don't be so judgmental we are all just Human we all make mistakes it doesn't matter the race, sex or age Shit even our trusted priests do horrific crimes n they're Americans. So instead of everyone saying hateful, tasteful or ignorant comments the big picture is that PEOPLE r dying every second of everyday from hate crimes or by accidents. I'm not one t to preach about only saying kind things about other ppl or illegal ppl cuz i do slip up but is that really what we want to teach our children the ppl of tomor? I don't either approve of our 2nd language is anything other than English or we should support n take care of or fight for other countries but its not 1940's whether we like it or not its not our decision we can thank the twisted government

Jason I feel I must applaud u. I respect the way u phrased, well...Everything! N I absolutely agree w / your point about white ppl just straight lazy. Now a days the white man demands on a hand out unlike our parents n grandparents an how they were too proud to ever except any help on taking care of their Family. Now I am a white woman an yes I have in the past n yet again am struggling to raise my 2 amazingly, smart, funny n healthy children on my own an I'm helping my brother w/his Lil boy n my sister w her baby so they both can work n provide for their kids, yes I'm the only one that they can depend n rely on n know that their kids are safe happy an well loved. But that also leaves me w/no one to fall back on so yes there's sometimes I do need a helping hand at times that is but the government feels otherwise. Even though I have major medical issues as well as my one child that is suffering from rheumatoid arthritis n lymes, n his father a white American is in federal prison due to a heinous crime that apparently to Mr. Dumbass B. Feels only illegal aliens can n will commit. Am I a lazy white person? Hell no! But my heart is bigger then my chest to help others in need n I take the back burner n find ways around supporting my beautiful family.
