Pedestrian Struck on Street Road

The male victim was struck on Street Road near the intersection of Central Avenue. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

A male was struck by a car, shortly before 10 p.m., Thursday, on Street Road near Central Avenue, police and fire department officials confirm.

The male was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Those who saw the victim said he was conscious after the accident.

The struck pedestrian's hat, skateboard, Mountin Dew bottle and a pool of his blood sat on Street Road. Between the items was the tan Toyota Prius, with front end damage, that is belived to have struck the victim.

A woman who was said to be the driver of the striking car was seen talking with police officers at the scene.

Detectives were called out to investigate the crash and were not releasing any more information at the time.

Street Road between Gravel Hill and Churchville roads was closed, but re-opened at around midnight.

Members of the Upper Southampton Police Department were assitsted by officers from surrounding departments.

Police along wth fire crews and EMTs responded to the scene.
