Teen Struck by Car Remains in Critical Condition

Richard Walton, known to friends as Richie, remains in critical condition at Abington Memorial Hospital following an accident on Street Road last Thursday evening.

Richard "Richie" Walton, 19, who was always riding his skateboard, using it to get to school or to meet friends, remains in critical condition at Abington Memorial Hospital, a spokesperson said late Wednesday.

"He's not doing too good, but I know he's surrounded by his dad and his family," said one of Walton's friends, who asked to remain unnamed.

Police are still activity investigating the incident and are awaiting the driver's blood test to come back. No charges have been filed against O’Riordan as of Wednesday evening, said Officer Michael Kaminski.

O’Riordan was driving her tan 2006 Toyota Prius west on Street Road when she entered the center turning lane to prepare to turn onto Cushmore Road and struck Walton who was riding his skateboard, police said.

Walton was thrown several feet and suffered serious head injuries, authorities at the scene said last week.
