County Line Road between Heaton Road and Second Street Pike will be closed to traffic beginning Monday. Officials are warning motorists to anticipate delays in the area.

Norfolk Southern Railroad will close the stretch of County Line Road that runs between Heaton Road and Second Street Pike next week.

According to PennDOT, the closure will remain in effect from 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 for rail crossing replacement.

"They will be replacing the concrete in the area between the railroad crossing," said PennDOT Community Relations Coordinator Charles Metzger.

Metzger said this project will allow for a safer crossing for the trains, as well as provide a new, smooth roadway for motorists.

During construction, County Line Road through traffic will be detoured over
Route 232 (Second Street Pike), via Jaymor Road and James Way. Local access
will be maintained up to the construction zone.
