Objects such as lawn furniture and garbage cans may be blown about by the wind. Some tree limbs and utility wires may come down. Also, trees with shallow roots may be toppled due to the combined effects of the strong wind and the saturated   soil.

If you will be driving during the advisory period, be prepared for strong wind gusts that may affect your ability to control your vehicle.

The flood watch remains in effect through late tonight with rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches expected.

Most of the rain is anticipated during the six hour period from 6 p.m. until midnight.

The expected rainfall may result in minor small stream flooding, as well as flooding of roadways and in areas of poor drainage.
