Barlow said the open house is a great opportunity to learn how you can achieve your educational goals at BCCC. Representatives from six academic departments, which offer 85 majors leading to either a two-year associate degree or shorter-term certificate, will be available to answer questions and offer information. Officials from the college’s financial aid and other student-services departments will also be on hand. Professors and students will be in attendance to answer questions as well.

The event will feature pastries made by chef apprenticeship students and entertainment by student musicians.

After attending BCCC, most students transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a bachelor’s degree, while others directly enter the workforce and launch a career, college officials said. Courses can be taken at the original campus in Newtown, the Upper Bucks Campus in Perkasie, the Lower Bucks Campus in Bristol and online.

BCCC is accepting applications for summer classes and the 2012-13 academic year.  Fall tuition is $117 a credit for Bucks County residents. To learn more, visit www.bucks.edu/admissions.
