Stackpole Engraved Bricks Await New Home

The bricks were previously purchased by community members as a fundraiser for the shuttered school.

Engraved bricks that once lined the entrance walk to Stackpole Elementary School have been removed, in anticipation of the .

Centennial's Assistant Superintendent of Operations William Gretton said the bricks are currently being stored inside of the closed Stackpole building, awaiting their new home at Davis Elementary School.

Gretton said the bricks will most likely be placed around the flagpole at the new school building on Maple Avenue.

"As you might imagine, with everything going on with the transition, the bricks weren't at the top of the list," he said.
