Beginners Canoe Training

Explore the outdoors from a new perspective. Learn how to handle a canoe so that you can be comfortable on the water. You will learn the fundimental strokes to get your boat to go where you want it to go. You will also learn how to read the signs of the rier and be safe on the water. This class will work for beginners or for those with some experience. There will be group instruction on Harrisville Lake then onto the Wading River in the Pine Barrens of NJ. In most cases, each student will be paddling with an experienced paddler/coach. We will work with each paddler at whatever skills he/she may have. This is a joint trip with AMC. Included in the fee are a boat, paddle and PFD provided by CNC.
