The 24th annual Tyler Tasting Party will be held June 1 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at Bucks County Community College's Newtown Campus.

Prepare your taste buds for a feast that comes just once a year.

Bucks County Community College’s Tyler Tasting Party will be held June 1 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. The 24th annual event will be held in historic Tyler Hall on the Newtown Campus.

The party will feature a range of food prepared by three dozen restaurants, caterers, bakeries and cafes from throughout Bucks County. Participants include The Pineville Tavern, Palate, oWowCow Creamery,  Zebra Striped Whale, La Stalla and more. (See the full list below.)

In addition, guests will have the opportunity to sample a variety of wine and beer. There will be a live auction for guests to bid on vacation destinations, catered dinner parties and other items. A silent auction will feature handmade jewelry, gift cards and original works of art by local artists and BCCC faculty and students.

Funds raised at the annual event go towards Historic Preservation scholarships at the school and to support the restoration of Tyler Hall, the 82-year-old mansion that served as the home of banker George F. Tyler and his wife.

The building became the cornerstone of Bucks County Community College when the school opened in 1965. The 60-room mansion was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. To date, the Tyler Tasting Party has raised more than half a million dollars for restoration projects and scholarships.

For the 11th consecutive year, First National Bank and Trust Co. of Newtown is sponsoring the event.

Tickets are $125 each; purchase five tickets and get the sixth free. Tickets can be purchased online at www.bucks.edu/foundation, by calling the BCCC Foundation at 215-968-8224 or by e-mail at foundation@bucks.edu. Free valet parking will be available.
