Are You Ready for Some Football?

Registration for the 2011 Southampton Knights Football season is now underway.

Southampton Knights Football offers both flag football and tackle football. No experience is necessary to participate. 

The flag football program is for children ages 5 and 6 and the tackle football program is for children ages 6 through 14.  The season generally runs from August through November.

Registration can be completed online or by downloading a registration form from the Southampton Knights website.

If you would prefer to register in person, or to speak with representatives and coaches from the Knights, head over to one of the organization's walk-in registration sessions. These walk-in sign ups will take place at the on the following dates:

•         Saturday April 9, 2011 – 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
•         Saturday May 14, 2011 – 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
•         Saturday June 11, 2011 – 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
•         Saturday July 9, 2011 – 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Practices for the tackle football program will begin the evening of Monday, Aug. 1 and will typically take place four nights a week through Labor Day. After Labor Day, practices will typically take place two to three nights a week, with games on Saturdays and the occasional game on Friday or Sunday.

Practices for the flag football program will begin mid-August and will typically take place 2 nights a week through Labor Day. After Labor Day, the game schedule begins; games take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
