Centennial School District is actively searching for a new head football coach for the William Tennent Panthers.
The district will be conducting interviews for the position early next week.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jennifer Cressman said the district has received a number of applicants and has begun to review resumes and credentials of the candidates. She said a committee of administrators, staff members, parents, and students has been assembled to conduct the interview process.
"As a school district, we are aware of the enthusiasm and excitement that surrounds this position," Cressman said in a statement to the press. "We take this search for the new leader of the Panthers seriously and will be conducting a thorough interview and reference verification process."
Cressman said the district will be sure to inform the community via email and the district's website as soon as a decision has been made and approved by the School Board.
"Our goal is to find a coach who will place the best interest of our football players as a top priority as our students strive to excel in academics, athletics, and the arts," she said.
